“Dance and Music is such a natural way at this age to learn rather than books and words”

Since a young age I have had a love for music and dance and played many instruments and danced in local shows.

Once I had my children I knew that my busy Area Management role, which took me away from home in the week and never gave me time for myself or my family, needed to change.

I’d attended some local baby music groups and loved participating in them, so I began looking into others in the country that I could bring to my area. I came across Boogie Beat in 2015 and loved the structure of the classes and how it uses children’s creative skills whilst exercising their minds and bodies.

I bought a franchise in 2015 and have seen it grow hugely, I love the energy and excitement the children have for our sessions and watching their confidence grow.

In 2022 I took over ownership of Boogie Beat Music and Movement LTD, we are continuing to expand and take Boogie Beat on its future adventures.

Boogie Beat Music and Movement History

In May 2000 Nicky and Lisa started Boogie Beat music and movement, running back to back classes in Cheddar on a Saturday morning.

Mid-week classes and parties were added to their repertoire and they were asked to extend Boogie Beat to further areas and it started to grow!

As the years went on they introduced Workshops in Nurseries and Schools, the structure of our sessions fitted perfectly with the EYFS.

Inter generational workshops in Care Homes began and working with the community, linking the generations has become a wonderful part of Boogie Beat with so many children, teachers, managers, and residents enjoying our Boogie Beat sessions together!

In 2009 the first Boogie Beat franchise was launched in North Somerset

Boogie Beat now has over 20 franchisees across the country.
